That ends the body of the round poncho. We next turn to the neck collar.
Poncho Neck / Collar
I used extra soft yarn for the neck collar. I can’t stand anything scratchy against the neck.
With 4mm hook, pick up the 64 stitches around neck with BPdc
With 3.5mm hook, work 3 rows of rib.
Start rib: [1FPdc, 1BPdc] repeat to end, x 3rowsWith 3mm hook, work 8 rows of rib
Rib for 8 rows.
Note: this is enough to be a semi-standup collar and can also be folded over.
Finish off with crab stitch. Contrasting color (opt).
