That ends the body of the round poncho. We next turn to the neck collar.

Poncho Neck / Collar

TIP:
I used extra soft yarn for the neck collar. I can’t stand anything scratchy against the neck.

With 4mm hook, pick up the 64 stitches around neck with BPdc

With 3.5mm hook, work 3 rows of rib.

Start rib: [1FPdc, 1BPdc] repeat to end, x 3rows

With 3mm hook, work 8 rows of rib

Rib for 8 rows.
Note: this is enough to be a semi-standup collar and can also be folded over.
Finish off with crab stitch. Contrasting color (opt).
