I have named this "Butterfly Clasp Transformed" necklace and earrings set even though it is not meaningful nor descriptive for anyone but myself. Reason: this set was transformed from a pattern I bought (Butterfly Clasp by Heather Collins Etsy Store).

Butterfly Clasp (basis of idea for jewelry set)
Emerging from an experimentation with the basic pattern but using large hex beads instead (Toho, hex beads, size 8 - purchased from Cranberry). I was most pleasantly surprised that the (focal) triangular piece, instead of lying flat as expected, formed its own pleasing 3D shape.
Once the focal piece had emerged, the rest of how the piece was going to develop pretty much just decided itself. It did, I must admit, take months before the rest of the piece decided to let me know how it wanted to appear. I sat with the finished focal piece and a blank mind state for a long while.
The embellishments on the focal piece is sewn on after the piece is completed using:
- Swarovski 3128 XILION Lochrose sequin sewon stones, 4mm (Erinite)
- Swarovski 3128 XILION Lochrose sequin sewon stones, 6mm (Crystal)

The chain, also fully handmade, uses:
- Swarovski 4mm crystal pearls (bronze, I think from memory)
- Swarovski 2 hole connectors (Topaz crystal set in brass)
