Swarovski Bead Crochet Bangles

I call these "flat based" crochet bangles because the inner side (against the skin) is made flat, without beads - to provide a comfortable easy feel to these bangles. I have used stretchy yarn (viscose) so that it is much easier to wear.

I have made all of these bangles for Small size. Apart from some bangles having dangles and some not, the technique is the same.

For the crochet bangles that have dangles, just make the dangles and have them ready for threading.

Basic Technique

For this size (small), it is worked over 44 stitches, in the round.

Each of these bangles is worked over 5 rows (single crochet): 1 plain row (no beads) and 4 beaded rows.

You will need 88x4mm beads & 88x3mm per bangle.

Tip for Bangle with Dangle: If you have dangles, it will replace the 3mm beads for one row (either the 2nd or 4th row). That will mean 88x4mm beads, 66x3mm, 22xdangles.

Thread the beads onto your working yarn.
Remember: thread in this sequene Row 4, Row 3, Row 2, Row 1, using the rough drawing provided here.
Foundation: 44 chains stitches. Join, making sure there is no twist in the length when joining. From here on in, you will be working in the rounds.
R1: plain sc row (no beads).
Tip: marker to mark the beginning of each row. Also count your beads as you go to be sure that you are crocheting in the correct number of beads per row.
R2-R4: crochet bead every (sc) stitch.
When you finish off, leave enough yarn for sewing round.
Fold inner sides together and sew neatly and invisibily. You should end up with a pleasing flat inner surface and a rounded concave outer beaded surface.
