This was made from some old jewelry pieces my mom gave me: Chinese character meaning "Longevity" or "Long Life".
I had them for about a year or more and still had not thought what to do with it. They came in separate pieces (not a set). The round piece used for the pendant was originally stuck onto a brooch setting, but the gold plating on that had long started to come off and was looking a bit sad for wear.
I should have taken a "before" photo but I guess my over-eagerness to bead-bead just overcame rational thought (as per normal!)
The beaded bezel is done with size 11/0 seed beads in Peyote stitch. The bail is in the same weave, done as one piece.
The earring pieces were loose pieces from something or other. They are either Mother of Pearl or some old seashell. This set was designed for simplicity, highlighting the Chinese "longevity" characters. So the earrings are wired together to dangle with with matching Freshwater pearls.
Wire components are Sterling Silver.
