Art Deco Buddha necklace was a happy happenstance arising from my learning how to weave the ruffled peyote stitch.

Art Deco Buddha – the How To Journey
It all started from this learning sample where I first plied the ruffled peyote stitch. And then it twigged that I might be able to do something with the ruffled peyote stitch and some cabs and drops I had on hand. (Lapis Lazuli buddha cab, Blue Sapphire large faceted drop, cherry red Czech drops).
The Lapis Lazuli Buddha cab is bead bezelled. I have made the bezelling deeper than normal. That will hold the cab better. It also forms like a close-fitting cowl around the face.
Beginning Ruffled Peyote

I won’t show the details of making the ruffled peyote as the how to ruffled peyote has already been written up.
