Peony Wabbit is another of my large crochet amigurumi bunnies. She is, we think, adorable and we carry her just like as if she is a real baby!! 𓆩♡𓆪
Peony with flower in her ear, handmade fashion, large eyes with eyelashes is just like a big baby, albeit a crocheted bunny baby. She loves to be carried, cuddled, and brought to see new faces, places, and things. I wish her a life of love and adventure.
I don't mean to be indecent or even risque by lifting Peony's skirts here below. Rather I am merely showing more work details and what her tumtum looks like.
Peony Wabbit’s Statistics, approximately…
- weight: 875g
- height: 28 inch/ 71 cm
- production time: 4-5 days

Peony Wabbit & Amigurumi Friends
Shown in the photos are Peony Wabbit and her bunny friend, Marnie Wabbit. The other little friend, who may or may not be a dog, has yet to be blogged and listed. His name is Woofa.
As of this (re)posting, Woofa has been Chrissy-gifted to Ziggy in Dec 2023, a little human "amigurumi" (viz. a real baby!) who was created by Dion & Stef.
Some WIP notes on Peony Wabbit
Just some notes and not a full tutorial nor pattern. The stitch I used here is a combination of Circular Thermal Crochet Stitch - it's double layering is ideal for amigurumi works; and Aligned Cobble Stitch - which gives it the textured surface.
When you look at the Circular Thermal crochet stitch, you will see it has one round of working back stitches, and then a corresponding round of working front stitches. It is in the latter round that I apply the Aligned Cobble Stitch to create the textured front surface. Below are 2 very rough drafts when I was figuring out how to work these stitches together.
This is the result of using the aforementioned stitch: a tightly, textured fabric. A fabric that is soft and not full of holes. No stuffing is going to fall out of our lovely, large, and cuddly crocheted amigurumi Peony Wabbit. ₍ᐢ. .ᐢ₎ 🐰
