Felted Owl Brooch - Emily Oot

Because I am moving sites and I still love my felted owl Emily Oot so very much, I am re-writing my post on Emily here.  This wee felt owl was created sometime in 2010 and has long left me for new, loving parents.  However her memory lingers.

Felted owl Emily Oot was born shortly after Oscar Oot, another in my felt owl series.  (I shall do a rewrite on Oscar at another time).

Even though Emily is the younger sibling, she has evolved to be both a brooch and a pendant.  This felt owl is not very big but she certainly swings both ways!

In this short rewrite, I do not have many DIY steps but hopefully enough photos to satisfy you and to make Emily feel a bit like a movie star.

Thank you note to Kay of Kay's Artycles for enabling Emily to be able to swing both ways.  When brother Oscar was born, Kay discovered that I did not have any brooch backs at the time.  So Kay very kindly sent me some.  And that is why Emily became such a swinger!

As you can see, Emily Oot is not just a felted owl but she has also been lovingly beaded as well as supported firmly by a large cute button to keep her strong and steadfast.

Below is a photo of Emily's brother Oscar Oot.  We shall post about him shortly.
